H0n30 Model Railway Layout - Kato Unitrack
This layout measures 40" x 30" (101 cm x 76 cm) and is best described as a mining and logging railway. The scenery is simple but effective and designed to compliment the trains. I used Kato Unitrack for this layout. Mainly because I had some spare track available. The sleeper spacing of Kato Unitrack is in-correct for this scale but it was a trade-off to keep the cost of the layout down. The Minitrains locos and rolling stock were originally a Egger-Bahn product from the early 1960's. It was resurrected by BCH International in 2010 and now they have a range of both diesel and steam locos available. The trains are quite fun to use and offer some great possibilities for anyone wanting a mining or logging model railway.
